Chris Jehly was born in Santa Rosa, CA. He received his BA in printmaking at Sonoma State University in 2006 and MFA in printmaking from Columbia University in 2011. He has exhibited throughout New York, California, Asheville, and the United States as well as internationally in Amsterdam and Beijing. He participated in the Bosch Young Talent Show in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands in 2011, the Japan Foundation cultural exchange residency in 2015, the Micro-Residency at Bischoff Inn in Tamaqua, PA in 2024, and the Byrdcliffe Artists in Residence in 2025. His current work explores landscape through watercolor, though his practice also encompasses other mediums such as acrylic, spray paint, murals, and mixed media.
